The foot pressure is studied to find the cause of wounds or for the risks of developing wounds and after proper analysis, necessary modifications and customizations are done in footwear. Sensitive electronic measurement systems are used in recording and evaluating the pressure distribution under the foot. The measurements are based on calibrated capacitive sensors. These sensors are able to record ‘dynamic’ as well as ‘static’ measurements. The ‘dynamic measurements’ are the most important ones since they determine the degree of loading during the actual roll-over processes while walking, quantify crucial parameters, such as length, width changes of the foot, the Varus or Valgus position, the function of the toes, joints, ligaments that help to carry out a proper biomechanical assessments of gait based on which the footwear construction is done for each foot.
